Wow, what a night! I know you are all without power right now and hope you are keeping well. Please check on your neighbors, especially ones that may be in need of food or medication. The Emergency Preparedness Committee team captains are staying in touch by radio, so please reach out to them if you are in need of help, or if it is an immediate emergency call 911.
Besides the electricity outage, we have experienced some major tree damage throughout the community and staff has been working through the night with the City of Wilsonville. The City has established clearing French Prairie road as their main priority and sent City Wide tree service to work on removing all the debris off the road. They will stack the debris on the sides of the road and we will work on cleaning up after this event is over. We are also working on clearing the debris that is blocking the entrance to the golf club and pro shop. The clean up for all the HOA’s and the country club will take weeks.
With power outages, cell phones are important life line. If you have the ability to charge a phone in you car you can do so without running the motor. Turn your key to accessory, halfway, and your phone should charge. If you have a push button start, push the button without putting your foot on the break. The car will not start but you will be in accessory mode and can charge your phone. DON’T run your car in a closed garage for even a minute.!!!
Due to the vulnerable population of Charbonneau, the City is working with PGE to prioritize working on our outage. Check PGE’s website https://portlandgeneral.com/outages for current outage updates and please stay safe.
