GOOD NEWS! From Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue: After a long search, District leaders recently found a space to lease for a temporary fire station in the Charbonneau area of Wilsonville, located on Miley Road, just east of Interstate 5. A two-person crew will be housed at future Station 54, helping fulfill an identified need to enhance emergency response for residents and businesses in Charbonneau, Wilsonville, and unincorporated areas of Clackamas County. Improvements to the 2,591-square-foot space and detached apparatus bay are scheduled to begin this summer with an anticipated completion by October 2020. The District’s long-term goal is to purchase land to build a fire station to serve the Charbonneau area for decades to come. Due to limited available land options in the area, this existing building will provide a temporary solution to an immediate need.
