The Charbonneau Country Club Board (Board) voted on Tuesday, July 30, to support the previous Board decision of tearing down the Annex and constructing a new activity center building with approximately the same square footage as the current building. The Board and staff are working on a timeline for demolition. We have reached out to Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue (TVF&R) to offer the use of the building for interior destructive training. This provides a rare opportunity for TVF&R and is a great benefit for our community.
A task force will be formed to work on the plans for our future activity center using data collected from our recent outreach efforts. We will keep you informed as this information unfolds.
We would also like to announce that we have several Board positions open. Three Board members have resigned for various reasons. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their years of service to our community. The Board is seeking volunteers to fill these open positions. According to our Bylaws, these positions will be appointed by the Board. For a role description, questions about the process or any other details, please contact Jim Meierotto, General Manager by emailing jim@charbonneaucountryclub.com or calling 503-694-2300.
