Holiday Meal and Festive Crafting
Don’t miss the holiday festivities at the Community Center on Friday, December 14. The senior nutrition program will be hosting their annual holiday meal at noon, and will be serving traditional favorites like roast beef and mashed potatoes. Following lunch be sure to stick around and enjoy holiday music, cookie decorating and creating some holiday crafts. The cookie decorating and crafting runs from 12:30 to 2:00 pm. There is no charge for the crafting event but please call 503-682-3727 to register.
Community Toy Drive
Interested in helping out those in need this season? Please bring a new unwrapped toy to the Parks and Recreation Admin Building before Friday, December 14 and they will be distributed to those less fortunate within the local community.
The Basics of Alzheimer’s
Understanding what is happening to a person with Alzheimer’s is key to interacting effectively and providing quality care. Information from professionals and first-hand accounts from people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s will be shared.

Estate Planning 101
Interested in learning more about Estate Planning? Class topics will include estate planning basics such as wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney, advance directives, and Medicaid Planning.
This free seminar will take place on Tuesday, January 15, from 10:00 – 11:30 am at the Wilsonville Community Center. There is no charge but please call Sadie Wallenberg at 503-570-1526 to register.
Beginning Tai Chi
Curious about Tai Chi? This class introduces a simplified Tai Chi form that targets a range of benefits including: balance, flexibility, improving core strength, and improving memory. An additional bonus is having fun with others while discovering the joy of mindful movement.
The next class session will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 15 – February 28, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Wilsonville Community Center. Cost is $65.
Healthy Bones and Balance
This class is designed to strengthen all elements of your body combining circuit training, strength conditioning, aerobic fitness, flexibility and balance. The instructor uses evidence based exercise strategies with the goal of improving bone density and decreasing the likelihood of a fall or an injury. This class will help you get on track to a stronger and healthier you.
The next class session will meet on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, January 16 – March 6, at the Wilsonville Community Center. Due to the popularity of this class there are two class times available: 8:30 – 9:20 am and 9:30 – 10:20 am. Cost is $63 and pre-registration is strongly suggested as the classes do fill to capacity.
Long Term Care 101
Long Term care is affordable! Class topics will include Medicaid planning, preserving and protecting assets, and veteran’s benefits.
