First Friday Film

Friday, November 3rd at 6:00 PM

This month we’ll be watching a movie about an American woman who, when her director husband is occupied with work in Paris, takes a jaunt with his business associate, a charming Gallic rogue who is happy to squire her on a tour of some of the finest meals in Provence. Library Foundation Hosts Wine-Tasting Fundraiser

Saturday, November 4th at 7:00 PM

The Wilsonville Public Library Foundation is hosting a fundraiser, themed “A Toast to Imagination,” on Saturday, Nov. 4, 7:00–9:30 p.m., at the Wilsonville Public Library. This annual event supports and expands programs for children and adults in the library and greater community. Register at wplf.org. Tickets are $45.00 per person–We’d love to see you there!

Book Club

Thursday, November 9th at 6:00 PM

The Book Club meets monthly for informal discussion in the library. Join fellow readers for lively and thought-provoking conversation about excellent books. Books to be discussed are available for check out – just ask at the Circulation Desk. This month we’re reading “Truly Madly Guilty” by Liane Moriarty.

Interested in philosophy and the big questions of life? Please join us each month for a round table discussion of how modern day issues are reflected and illuminated by the great Western classic books. This month, we’ll be studying “Caesar and Cleopatra” by George Bernard Shaw.

History Pub @ Wilsonville McMenamins

The Wilsonville Public Library Foundation, the Wilsonville/Boones Ferry Historical Society, and McMenamins have teamed up to present monthly programs focusing on Oregon’s rich history. This month, Sig Unander, Jr. will present “Simon Benson: Lumber King, Civic Leader, Visionary”. If you’ve ever wondered about the man behind the ‘Benson Bubbler’ here’s your chance to find out!

A fun night to construct, create, and imagine with Lego! Lego expert David Thornton from Canby Bricks &Minifigs will be available to provide cool tips. Recommended for grades K-5. Free!

K-2 Book Adventures
