Fall and Winter Parks and Recreation Program Registration Opens August 21st
Registration is opening soon for all fall and winter Parks and Recreation programs. This fall there are a number of new program offerings including a new “Everyone is an Artist – Acrylics” class on Monday afternoon. Additionally, favorites like Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates and Healthy Bones and Balance return for another session. All programs can be viewed and registered for online at WilsonvilleParksandRec.com.
Program Highlight: Knitting
Instructor Alice Knox offers personalized instruction in a fun group setting. Participants can choose from a variety of knitting projects. This fall Alice is offering three different class options. All classes are held at the Community Center, the cost is $47.
“Knitting for Everyone” participants will learn how to knit and have fun! The class will start at the beginning and learn the following techniques: cast on, knit, purl and bind off. All levels are welcome and you need not have prior knitting experience. There are two class offerings: Mondays,9/11 – 10/31 from 1- 3 pmor Wednesdays, 9/13 – 11/1from 6-8 pm.
In the “Simple Beaded Cowl” class, participants will learn how to work in beads as they knit along the way.This project could be a great Christmas gift for yourself or a special person.The class will meet on Mondays, 9/11 – 10/31from 10 am – noon.
“Pink Madness” participants will create a statement scarf with a dramatic brioche motif, surrounded by two color garter stitch stripes and two color brioche borders. Come and learn the brioche stitch and add to your accomplishments. The class will meet on Wednesdays 9/13 – 11/1from 2pm – 4 pm.

Most importantly however, you will re-discover a sense of community and connection with results that may be more than you ever expected.
Join Certified Wellness Coach Brad Moore as he builds a group of like-minded individuals.Space is limited to 10 participants.The group will meet on Fridays, September 29 through November 17 from 1 – 2 pm at the Parks and Rec Admin Building. Cost for the program is $125
