The Board of Directors of the Charbonneau Arts Association announces that Rick Cady has been named as chair of the Organizing Committee of 2020 Charbonneau Arts Festival. This is the group of volunteers that takes care of the myriad of details needed to produce this annual three-day event.
When the Board of Directors appointed Rick to this position, he commented: “I am deeply honored that the Board entrusts me with this responsibility. I know that the success of the Festival is born by the chairs and members of the subcommittees of the Organizing Committee and the volunteers. Thank you.”
Rick has been a volunteer with the Arts Association and was recently elected to the Board of Directors. To his new assignment with the Board, Rick brings many years as a professional photographer as well as a broad range of experiences working with and leading volunteer organizations.
The 2020 Charbonneau Arts Festival will be the 37th annual public affair that takes over the entire Charbonneau Country Club facility. It includes a fine art gallery, gala reception, silent auction fundraiser, and a weekend arts and craft show. In addition, the festival exhibits student work from Canby and Wilsonville High Schools.
Charbonneau Arts Association is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that raises funds to support local public art education. Its 2019 event netted $4,000 for each of the art departments at Canby and Wilsonville High Schools.
