First Friday Film

Friday, October 6th at 6:00 PM

Come get free snack and hard plastic chairs. This month’s film will be about a wonder woman, with a magic lasso, who fights against evildoers for truth, justice, and the American way. Don’t miss it!

Library Book Club

Thursday, October 12th at 6:00 PM

The Book Club meets monthly for informal discussion in the library. Join fellow readers for lively and thought-provoking conversation about excellent books. Books to be discussed are available for check out the previous month – just ask at the Circulation Desk. This month’s select ion is ‘The Lost City of the Monkey God: A True Story’ by Douglas Preston. Suspenseful and shocking, filled with colorful history, hair-raising adventure, and dramatic twists of fortune, The Lost City of the Monkey God is the absolutely true, eyewitness account of one of the great discoveries of the twenty-first century.

Book Notes Concert: Jass Two Plus One

Come enjoy the sound of music in the library. The Wilsonville Public Library is pleased to present musical performances by local musicians. This concert series is presented by the Wilsonville Friends of the Library. This month we feature Jass Two Plus One, with all the romance and adventure of 1920’s and 1930’s Jazz!

Great Books Discussion Group

Tuesday, October 17th at 6:00 PM

Interested in philosophy and the big questions of life? Please join us each month for a round table discussion of how modern day issues are reflected and illuminated by the great Western classic books. This month we’ll be divining “Utilitarianism” by John Stuart Mill.

The Marriage of Art & Fiction: Part 2 class

Wednesdays, from October 18th to December 13th (no class November 22nd) , at 6:00 PM

Can art and fiction have a happy marriage? We’ll study three novels centering on either art or an artist and their work: “The Goldfinch,” “The Muralist,” and “The Picture of Dorian Gray.” Fine arts and literature come alive through lively conversation and visuals. Curiosity Cafe: Author Warren Easley

History Pub @ Wilsonville McMenamins

The Wilsonville Public Library Foundation, the Wilsonville/Boones Ferry Historical Society, and McMenamins have teamed up to present monthly programs focusing on Oregon’s rich history. This month, we present ‘Is Oregon Ready for the Big One? Oregon’s Past and Future Earthquakes’. Scott Burns, Geology Professor from PSU will discuss the coming disaster and what we can do to ensure our safety. This will be a shakin’ presentation! Free at the Wilsonville Old Church McMenamins.

Stories, songs, and puppets with your toddler. For ages 1 & 2 years old

Baby Time

Rhymes, songs, and special bonding time with your baby. For ages 0 – 12 months

Family Storytime

K-2 Book Adventures

Join us as we share some of our favorite classic stories, books, and authors through interactive storytelling, puppetry, and other fun activities. No sign-up is required. For children in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade.
