Parks and Recreation Master Plan Survey Findings Presentation
Join Parks and Recreation staff and consultants from GreenPlay LLC to learn of the findings from the City-wide Parks and Recreation survey. The results of the survey and input gathered at this presentation will help shape the future of Parks and Recreation in Wilsonville. Presentation will take place on August 2nd, 6pm at Wilsonville City Hall.
Tai Chi Returns July 11
Join instructor James Lusk for his Beginning Tai Chi course. The class introduces a simplified Tai Chi form that targets a range of benefits including: balance, flexibility, improving core strength and improving memory.
Tai Chi is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-2 pm with the next session running from July 11 to August 31. The cost for the 16 session course is $65 or just $4 per class session.
In this Bob Ross style of oil painting class, you will start with a blank canvas and leave with a completed masterpiece! This class is taught by Judy Stubb, who has been painting for 13 years and is a certified Bob Ross Floral Instructor. Each class is a different painting. Class examples available at www.wetpaints.net. The class sessions are open to 12 and older making them a good option to experience with your grand kids. July class sessions take place on Tuesday, July 11, 5:30 – 9 pm and on Saturday, July 15, 10 am to 2 pm. Cost is $50 per class and all supplies are provided.
SMART Transit 101
Join RideWise, your local travel training program, for a two class session at the Community Center and learn more about using public transit in Wilsonville and beyond. In the first class, information on fares, trip planning, and accessibility will be covered. During the second class, knowledge will be put to the test as participants head out to ride SMART to SMART Central/WES Station. FridaysJuly 21, 12:45 pm – 2:15 pm and July 28, 12:25 pm – 2:15 pm (must attend both sessions). There is no charge but please pre-register.
