Register for Spring Classes!

Registration for the Spring session of classes is now open.  Classes begin at the end of February and into early March. New sessions of Hatha Yoga Basics, Nia, and AARP Smart Driver will all begin in early March.  Activities for all ages can be viewed and registered for online.

Nutrition Program at the Center

The Wilsonville Community Center offers a nutrition program Mon, Tue, Wed and Fri.  The lunch program is by donation with a suggested amount of $3.50 for those 60 and over and $4.25 for those under 60.

Additionally, a Home Delivered Meal Program provides daily weekday meals to home-bound seniors and persons who are disabled on a regular basis, or temporarily during recovery from surgery or illness.  There is no charge for this service but donations are gladly accepted.  Please call 503-682-3727 to arrange for home delivered meal service, or if you are interested in a volunteer meal driver position.

Free Income Tax Assistance

Appointments are now being taken for Free AARP Income Tax assistance at the Wilsonville Community Center. Income tax preparation and electronic filing for both 2015 Federal and State Returns will be provided with the joint help of the IRS and AARP Tax-Aide Program. This free service is provided by trained and certified IRS-AARP Tax Aid Volunteers. Call 503-682-3727 to schedule an appointment. Appointments available on Thursdays 2/16 – 4/13 from 9 am to 4 pm.

Holistic Health Fair

Please join the Parks and Recreation Department and local health practitioners for the Holistic Health Fair on Saturday, April 22nd, from 10am-1pm, at the Community Center.  Formerly called Spa Saturday at the Center, this annual health and wellness event features mini classes, sample services and vendors, with a focus on holistic therapies and alternative medicine.  Past years have featured samples of yoga, tai chi, massage, acupuncture, and vendors selling essential oils, eco-friendly cleaning products, organic bath products, and more!

The event is open to all ages and is free to attend.  Practitioners and vendors interested in participating may submit a vendor interest form on the event webpage.
